Southland Golf Club (Oreti Sands) is the Southern-most 18 hole links in the World, situated 10 Kms Southwest of Invercargill, the most southerly city. In the 2014 rankings put out by the top100 Golf Courses of the World, Oreti is ranked 11th in New Zealand and 4th in the South Island.
The course features a links layout with large greens on a sandy base that will challenge and delight players of every standard.
Greg believes this course is one of the finest Links in the Southern Hemisphere.
We secured funding in 2006 to develop the course and work commenced on altering the layout in 2007. Four spectacular new holes were added, four have been removed and several others modified.

How many Links golf courses are there in the World? Currently 246, which is less than one percent of the world's 30,000-plus courses. Oreti Sands is one of the 9 in New Zealand.
